Back in the 60’s, when I was a mere slip of a girl, it was a regular thing for young women to compete in beauty contests. Whether it was a low-key affair in the local holiday camp or seaside resort or all the way to the Mecca of contests, Miss World. These were commonplace and were often national events televised into every home.
Can you imagine we businesswomen being judged like this?
These young women were paraded across our screens in their swimsuits being judged on their “beauty.” As the girl strutted her stuff past the typically all male judges, the host would read out her vital statistics.
The Holy Grail of measurements and the perfect figure was considered 36-26-36 in those days.
As the announcer read them out to the audience, confirming to the contestant and all the little girls watching, that as far as society was concerned, their point of value was measured by the curves of their bodies.
In those days, this was literally the measurement of success!
No wonder so many women grew up with body issues!
Well today as businesswomen, your vital statistics are just as important to achieving the level of success you desire. However, now we measure, not how large or small some parts of your body are but something quite different.
I am going to ask you three questions and I want you to listen to the first answer that comes to you head as this will speak volumes about where you are right now and why you may not be getting the results you want.
So on a percentage scale of 1-100 ask yourself this?
1. How much Clarity do you have about what you want to achieve and how you are going to do it?
2. How high is your Confidence level? Are you confident you can achieve everything you want in life going about it the way you are right now?
3. How full to Capacity are you with Clients or Customers who create consistent Cash flow?
Size Definitely Matters!
Did you get some interesting percentages in your answers? I hope so because, with these vital statistics, size definitely matters and the bigger the better!
I know it is unlikely that we are all going to be at 100% 100% 100% but if your vital statistics are less than 80% 80% 80 % then you still have a bit of work to do.
Now that may be on your mindset, your marketing or your methods. But if you really want to reach the heights you dream about then work on them you will have to do!
